The company was founded by Caroline de Mancha Stevens, who having been involved in property for the last 20 years, had become increasingly concerned and disillusioned with the finished quality of new build houses and the number of defects that the builder had failed either to notice or forgot to put right!
This was subsequently highlighted when she purchased her own brand new home, only to find that it had a very disappointing number of problems. Why should buying a new home be any different from buying any other new item? You would not expect to have a dent or a scratch on a new car or buy a new pair of trousers with a rip in them - you would take it straight back to the showroom/shop.
